Our Job Vetting Process
Why Verification Matters
After experiencing firsthand how exhausting and demoralizing it is to wade through fake job postings, MLM schemes, and outdated listings, I created Remote Gold Careers with one core promise: every job you see here has been personally verified.
This isn't an automated aggregator pulling listings from across the web. Every single posting is reviewed, researched, and approved by me before it goes live.
How We Verify Every Job
1. Source Verification
We only accept jobs from:
- Direct company career pages
- Established, reputable job boards with their own verification processes
- Known employers with verified track records
- Recruiters and staffing agencies with legitimate business registrations
We automatically reject:
- Anonymous job posts without clear employer information
- Listings that require upfront payments or "starter kits"
- MLM, pyramid schemes, or commission-only "opportunities"
- Vague posts with no company name or contact information
- Jobs posted on unverified or suspicious platforms
2. Company Research
For each job, we verify:
- Company legitimacy: Does the company exist? Do they have a real website, LinkedIn presence, and verifiable business information?
- Company reputation: We check reviews on Glassdoor, Indeed, and the Better Business Bureau to identify red flags
- Remote work history: Has this company hired remote workers before? Do they have infrastructure to support remote teams?
- Recent activity: Is the company actively hiring? Are they financially stable?
3. Job Description Quality Check
Every posting must meet these standards:
- Clear role description: Specific responsibilities, not vague promises like "unlimited earning potential"
- Realistic requirements: Qualifications that match the role and industry standards
- Transparent compensation: Salary range, hourly rate, or clear commission structure (when available)
- Legitimate application process: Apply through official company channels, not through unsecured forms or messaging apps
- Professional presentation: Proper grammar, clear formatting, no excessive use of urgency tactics
4. Red Flag Screening
We automatically reject jobs that show signs of scams:
- ❌ Requests for payment upfront (training fees, background checks, equipment, etc.)
- ❌ Requests for personal financial information (bank details, Social Security numbers) before a formal offer
- ❌ Guaranteed high income with minimal effort
- ❌ Pressure to "act now" or "limited spots available"
- ❌ Communication only through text messages, WhatsApp, or Telegram
- ❌ Interviews conducted solely via chat (no video or phone)
- ❌ Poorly written job descriptions with excessive typos and grammatical errors
- ❌ Companies with no online presence or suspicious websites
5. Contact Verification
When possible, we:
- Verify the hiring manager or recruiter exists and works for the company
- Check that contact information (email domains, phone numbers) match the company's official channels
- Cross-reference job postings with the company's official careers page
6. Ongoing Monitoring
Our work doesn't stop after posting:
- We regularly check that jobs are still active
- We remove expired or filled positions
- We track feedback from job seekers about their application experiences
- We remove companies if we receive credible reports of poor practices
What We DON'T Do
We don't:
- Guarantee you'll get hired (that's between you and the employer)
- Endorse specific companies' workplace cultures or management practices
- Verify every detail of compensation packages or benefits
- Take responsibility for the hiring process or employment relationship
We do:
- Filter out scams, spam, and low-quality listings so you don't have to
- Save you time by curating only legitimate opportunities
- Provide a safer starting point for your remote job search
Types of Jobs We Feature
We curate remote opportunities across multiple industries:
- Healthcare: Medical billing, telehealth, nursing, health coaching
- Technology: Software development, IT support, data analysis, cybersecurity
- Customer Service: Support representatives, chat agents, call center roles
- Business & Finance: Accounting, bookkeeping, financial analysis, project management
- Marketing: Content creation, social media management, SEO, email marketing
- Administrative: Virtual assistants, data entry, scheduling, executive support
Our Standards for Compensation
While we can't always control what employers share about pay, we prioritize listings that:
- Include salary ranges or hourly rates
- Offer competitive compensation for the industry and role level
- Are transparent about commission structures if applicable
- Don't rely solely on "performance bonuses" as primary compensation

Our Commitment to You
Every job on Remote Gold Careers is one I would feel comfortable applying to myself.
That's the standard. If I wouldn't apply to it, it doesn't go on the site. Your time is valuable, your job search is important, and you deserve better than sifting through scams and spam.
I built this platform to be the resource I wish I had when I was job searching—and I'm committed to keeping it trustworthy.
